Abstract

This study aims to investigate the potential of advanced research in leveraging cloud-based IoT applications to advance the paradigm of smart tourism. How these technologies converge and their applicability in augmenting the tourist experience, with a focus on optimizing resource utilization, enhancing safety, and reducing environmental impact. The research employs a multidisciplinary ap- proach, incorporating data collection from diverse urban environments and the deployment of cloud-based IoT solutions. This involves integrating mobile devices, connected vehicles, and smart infrastructure to establish a dynamic data ecosystem. Furthermore, comprehensive analysis and modeling techniques are applied to evaluate the impact on resource management, waste reduction, accident mitigation, and pollution control. The findings demonstrate the substantial potential of cloud-based IoT applications in revolutionizing smart tourism. The integration of these technologies leads to notable cost savings and operational efficiencies in urban environments. Additionally, the optimization of resource utilization and waste management, coupled with enhanced safety measures, underscores the transformative impact on tourism experiences. Despite showcasing substantial potential, the study acknowledges limitations, including dependence on existing network reliability and potential cybersecurity concerns. Nevertheless, the integration of cloud-based IoT applications demonstrates significant cost savings and operational efficiencies in urban environments, emphasizing their transformative impact on tourism experiences. The research underscores the critical role of these technologies in advancing smart tourism within urban landscapes, enabling informed decision-making for sustainable development in the face of urbanization challenges.
